The Squeeze-al

Another thing I don’t want to forget is Sophie’s creative interpretations of song lyrics. Nearly every day, she comes home from daycare singing something new, cheerfully mangling the lyrics, valiantly attempting to squeeze unfamiliar sounds into the words that she knows:

Row, row, row your boat

Gently down the dream

Mary, mary, mary, mary

Marry me.

I can’t decide if that one’s my favorite, or:

Round and round and round the bush

The monkey chased the Squeeze-al

And round and round and round the bush

The monkey chased the Squeeze-al

Our house, lately, is filled with Squeeze-als, who rhyme with Weasels, but delight me so much more.
