We had her one-year check-up & vaccinations today, and we found out that Sophie has a heart-murmur. We’re going to see a cardiologist specialist to find out more. Her doctor says it shouldn’t be a big concern, but I’m a little worried.
Sophie’s doctor also says that she has an ear-infection that I didn’t even suspect. Sophie tugs at that ear once every 2 or 3 days, but I thought that was just a habit. This is the peril of having a good-natured baby: I didn’t know she was sick. I’m afraid she’s had this infection for a while.
The good news, though, is that she’s stable on the growth charts again, rising steadily at the 10th percentile, weight-wise, but the top of the charts height-wise. She’s going to be tall and thin like Ben. Right now, she’s 30.25 inches tall, and 18 lbs, 7 ounces.
And right now she’s sleeping off the vaccinations, that were making her feel cranky. It’s a good thing she really likes the taste of infant tylenol.
