I really like the Flobots’s song “No Handlebars.” But I’m not sure: is it really protest music, if half the listeners don’t even get it?

On my local radio station, the DJ introduced this song by saying, “The Flobots can do lots of nifty things, like riding a bike with no handlebars.” Ahh, the tragedy of stupidity.
